Black Cats and broken mirrors is the eighth pilot episode for T.U.F.F. Puppies.


After many times of being thwarted by T.U.F.F., Quintin Matheni decides to build a device that will make all citizens of Petropolis have bad luck. Quintin finishes his device and names it the bad luck-inator. The next day he tests it. He uses it on Charles, and a black cat walks in front of him and all of his bacon disappears. Quintin gets excited and he's now on his way to T.U.F.F. Dudley got a new chew toy and Quintin used his device. The chew toy bounced away. Dudley is now sad and Kitty realizes a villain must have something to do with what happened. Quintin was already running away and using it on citizens of Petropolis. Quintin broke Connor's mirror and his collection of rocks disappeared. Then he broke into Seth's house and a tower of salt fell over. Seth's house disappeared.

Quintin realized that the more he used his device, the more bad luck it caused. Eventually, all of Petropolis was falling apart. Even a large hole appeared in downtown. After visiting T.U.F.F., Seth and Connor had no choice but to swap it from Quintin. They took the T.U.F.F. mobile and realized Quintin was at Matheni Evil Inc. He was laughing evilly at all the chaos he had caused. Seth broke in first and tried to grab the bad luck-inator. Connor then came in and knocked down Quintin. He grabbed the device from him and passed it to Seth, who was already running away. Connor then ran away too while Quintin was sobbing and walking slowly. Seth made the bad luck-inator self destruct and everything that disappeared reappeared.
